problem with installer/game?

hi every1,
ive intalled the game properly i think, the game runs sweet and all.... however i have to launch the game from the directory in program files.. thats not the problem tho.... the mir launch icon in folder dissapears after a couple of days, any solutions please ppl, thanks, paul.
