Wat do you think about me allowing people a second chance.

Just looking through the database i have banned about 600ish account in the last 2 years.

People who have been banned for gg expoting would have there char striped of gold and items.

This would be the last chance for these players. Banned again and there char would be deleted.

People have mainly been banned for abuse.

In my opinion there should be no permanent ban..... unless their action is direct assault to the server whose objective is server destruction.
Mete graduating penalties which include ban for play for a week, month(s) or for graver offence deleveling. With this you could impose your authority without player wishing you ill.

In constructive analysis, the exploit was a server anomaly and not done by the player although the malicious exploit deserves some kind of penalty.

gg exploiting costs you money jamie so ban all associated ip addresses and accounts. easy to exploit on a nub char and keep your main char in your current regime tbh, just look at apple & co.

have some balls and do what you think is right and not bow down to public pressure.

on the other hand banning ppl for abuse is pretty lame if perm as at some point in life everyone kicks off, communication is the key. in all honesty you are pretty pants at communicating so for bannings of this ilk i think yes a 2nd chance is deserved.

define your poll more specifically tbh...

beyond that, tis your server so make a decision how you want it to be. if you dont lead strongly then ultimately those below you take an inch, a yard, a mile til you get pissed off with them and react. by the time it has got that far there is really only one person to blame...

basic tenets of management/leadership (dictatorship lol!!) but if you allow things to happen because you are not aware (not being aware is tantamount to not being in control) then the responsibility is your own.

so, make a decision and stick to it. but for you to achieve this level of respect/leadership (irrespective of the fact you own the server, i think you still wanna be friends with ppl as it is your hobby - and ours lol) you have to be able to communicate with ppl for concisely.

if you plan a reboot at 12, do it at 12 (even if you just turn server off and do nowt), this lets ppl know you are in command and doing what you say.

if you ban someone for exploiting, then ban then forever - dont back down.

etc etc

other than that communication of ethereal random server re-jigs shouldn't really be posted on forum unless you can substantaite them. what i mean by this is basically do make no promises your body cant keep (prize to first person to pm me ingame with the band i plagiarised that from ^^)

I say no lol. Lapta I think you build up a too good a rapore with your players .

2nd chances just gives players the illusions that you can bend/break the rules and get away with it.

If they get a legitimate deserved perm ban, that should be the end of the story.

If the player really wants to carry on playing they can make a new character and learn from their mistakes.
