Non-GG Pets?

I was just wondering, as I do, what pets are worth getting that don't cost GG. Personally I'm not a fan of having "You need to donate, or you're pretty much stuffed", for various reasons, but that's not the point here. From what I can tell, there's the foxes you get at 40/45/50 etc and the pets from Pet Orbs (which aren't common, nor are they particularly rare).

I've not had chance to test out pets, aside from the 10-19 ones that I was able to use, as Evo gave me an orb at level 18. Are the pets strong enough to withstand areas that Frost Tigers/Foxes are, at 40+? If so, how balanced are they (ie which level bracket is comparable to the FT's)?

Finally, Wiz tamed pets. Is there anything worth taming? I want to level a Wiz up, but I've been focused on getting FF before doing so, to give me incentive. Is there anything worth shocking in to a coma at any level? If so, what levels and do they last the good ol' two hours, then untame, or do they last until you log off?

So many questions, so little time!

u can take oma bandits and stuff there nice

not sure on lvl ... the pet orbs are rare in drops but tbh takes 10 mins to do the quest for it

lvl 40-49 pets are 2 white boars i belive

I wanted to do the quest, but no-one knew where Milton was, so I gave up.

Are the boars any good? And how about 50-59? Seems that's pretty easy to hit on a Wiz, so that's the rough level I'd begin to slow down. :P

Anyone tried taming ET's? I remember a friend doing it on Euro, as a very high level Wiz (so probs 50 ish), I can't remember if it was BDD or BC ones he tamed, I recall him saying they were different mobs, one of which he couldn't tame.
