Wiz vs Bosses?

Well as I'm sure most people know, I wanted to level a Wiz up and have been trying rather hard to get FF, to give me a real incentive to get one on the move. I was speaking to a few people ingame today though, all of which were level 45-55 and they all agreed that Wiz's are utter crap for boss killing. They obviously excel in the levelling department, but regardless of level, they do really poorly for killing a boss that isn't poisoned.

If possible, I'd like other 45+ Wiz's to give me their thoughts on how it is to kill bosses on here, without poison (ie solo or with another Wiz), maybe regen can be decreased or Wiz's given a spell to combat regen. Damage is apparently fine at the moment, but being unable to stop a boss regaining half it's health (maybe more?) in the duration of the fight obviously slows them down a lot. I had this problem on MR, which is why I stopped playing my Wiz, was hoping it'd be different here, but it seems like a basic problem on MirRevenge (Regen).

was a lvl 47 wizz and without a psn / pets wt takes agggggggggggggggggggggggggggges to kill lol even with a psn a wt takes a while lol then again wizzies always have done and always will do lol with slow pa and speed a warrior can take many more bosses earlyer on

I was going through them in 1-2 minutes on my Warr at 40, with a level 0 fox pet, using a DragonSword. I got a dss earlier on (thanks to AlucarD <3), so the killing speed should increase further, even as it is, I'm killing -much- faster than level 50+ Wiz's in better items than me. :s

lol was first to lvl 40 on my wizz and 45 at 40 i took the red fox to wt and had nice kit on

i was bounceing it with the fox and took bout 10 mins lol

even with 3 ft's takes bout 4 or 5 mins lol

Try to put Full MC kit on and put the WT behind a wall and let FW do its work, always does a nice trick for me

The funny thing is, that's a fast kill for a level 50+ Wiz in decent kit, let alone a low end 40's one. On my Warrior I reckon it'll be around 1 minute per WT, without any trouble, add on the fact that I can plough through all the mobs, kill everything around them and then kill WT, without having to drag it to a wall, seems a bit silly.

I was thinking about ways to combat this and I'm sure there's a flaw that I'm missing, but here goes; Add Poison (and Slow?) to spell effects. To make this fair, you'd need to give Warriors and Tao's a boost, so Wiz's aren't getting something alone. So you could use this with all spells (Warriors, think of CHM Slowing ALL the mobs around you. Tao's think of SFB Slowing the target), this would not only give everyone a reason to get Slow and PA (it seems silly that they're limited to Warriors), but it'd also allow Wizards to solo bosses without making them stupidly strong.

tbh im a wizzy so i know how u feel but gl getting wizzys poison lol. u got slow with blizz or fc. its early days for server. best u can do on wizz atm is lvl ur ass off till u can get in decent caves and get good kit, then go kill some bosses

Wizards were never supposed to be good at tanking bosses, thats a warriors job. With gems and orbs you can get great acc', poison and slow with a wiz and do much more damage then other classes. If you think about it your only level 50, which would be what... 18? on "real" Mirs, so your not supposed to be killing bosses yet anyway.

Get RME kit and add some orbs to it and you'll be fine.
