Well seeing as all provinces are SZ now i think was a very very bad decision tbh. Now before ppl go off flaming/etc think about what just happened. BW=town for selling/buyin items, but at same time its a place where i bet MOST ppl make their cash from, as the drops in BW are 10x better than any boss will drop. Many ppl play this game still just for the thrill of PKing too, and before anyone says "you can still pk in caves/etc" its not the same. Now imo, we are trying to get server counts up and this last decision really has more negative effects than positive tbh. Lets compare pros/con's.
Pros:
-Griefing reduced.
-GM dont have to spam "It's a non-pking event for invasions anymore"
-Less work out of Lapta's hands lookin over grief screenies.
Cons:
-Not as many people in BW to buy/sell, soon the town will be as empty as Mongchon.
-Reduces the main aspect of the game that makes mir what it is: PKing.
-ALL events in the provinces will now be FORCED to be no-pk events.
-Bichon is the ROOT of towns in "the legend of mir" its a classic.
Now i know there is going to be a new town etc for us to PK, but its not BW as BW has been around since mir started and this move really killed it tbh. Now lets look at some possible ALTERNATIVE solutions, then give us some feedback.
-Make Bichon not a SZ, and all others SZ.
-Add specific GM's that handle just grief and monitor grief itself and half limited GM privelages to just focus on the griefing that goes on. (best idea imo as GM's arent on as much anymore and no one ever monitors the grief. Can have ppl e-mail them the grief screenies and they can simply ban ppl as well.)
-To stop ppl griefing in/out, maybe imo, make some sort of walls, so people can not run in/out/in/out of SZ's. Like in bichon the Sz in middle has stone fixture around it and u can only exit thru the stairs. Maybe make all of BW outside that a pk-zone, and leave that part free, and move gold npc inside bw storage, and take the outside bw storage npc out as u can always enter inside.
Feedback please, its too early to argue i realize, but imo this was a decision the game could have gone without.
