Well as you may or may not know there are about 4 or 5 differant verison of the 2.6 files floating around the internet, all with source code.
All the 2.6 files are either buggy, have expoits in, just dont work blah blah blah. Which is why we are still on 2.3!
So wat we have done, is give all the source code to a prosessional coder. He is being paid irl money, he has never played or heard of mir before he started working for us.
He has looked at all the code of all the files and is now working on making some files that work!
He has already told us most of the code from all the files has been reversed engineered (been told this from 6 other prosessional coders to) so a lot of the code need rewriting to bring it up to a prosessional standard.
At this stage we are not even able to say if the new files will have some of the featues that we currently have in the 2.3 files. I am talking about the 1st release of the files here.
The coder will join the forums at a later date so he can talk with you all and fix bugs etc etc.
The files should be ready within 30 days so i have been told.
We have chosen to go to a non mir player to get the files made for a few reasons, the main reasons being that a fresh look at the code will mean the code gets fixed, it might break something else, but at least the coding will be right. Also as a non player there is no chance of serect commands or hidden expoits being added to the files.
Wat dose this mean for high rate? Well it means that i will be spending a lot of time with the coder running him through the game and how it works, and how it should work. I will be personally inviting a few players to join us in doing bug testing, but please do not ask to play as the answer will be no.
The 1st server to get the files will be med rate as i promised it to them 1st. If all is ok with med rate the files will be used on high rate.
Before you start asking questions, i only know wat i have just posted. As soon as i know any thing else i will update you.
