How long you known about mir

Just wondering how long you have known about / played mir.

I think about 70% + people who play mir now played mir back in the day, dont think there are that many new players to mir.

I knew about it ages ago but didnt start playing till like 2003/2004 I think it was
Use to watch it on tv and think omg that is uber, but never tried downloading it as it looked like it would take ages, but then broadband got so much better and it didn't take as long then I started playing.....what a game.
