Griefer Police ?

kk i know that 99 % of Mir is deadly tired of these bastards. i for one am really sick of it and its ruining my playin/pking experiance , other day xlordx and chains griferd me emily and cooper, its getting really bad now.

so my idea was basically .

having a like a Grifers Police .
that wud be like 2-5 ppl whos trusted enuff by jamie to have Gm chars with Limited powers, and that power wud be To only give Pk points( i dont know if that works)
if the Griefer Police catchs the griefer . they wud be giving 500 pk at first then 1500 and then 2500 as third and fourth time premban char(with permission from jamie)

i know that jamie is doing the lvl 60s aint gettin to bw before higher lvl. but this problem is a serious manner which involvs all of mir players.

i aint demanding anything but this idea wud be pretty good for every1.!

Did you miss what happened with Ezzo, when he was a Player-GM? Ezzo is one of THE nicest and most trustworthy people I've had the pleasure of knowing, but still he gets endless **** for basically being a decent GM, because people fail to understand how it works from 'our' side of the game.

Until you've been a server runner/GM of 20+ people, you won't know what I mean, it's one of those things that you can't put in to words, but the main idea is stress/spam/headache/many pm's/lots of whines and general upset.

In other words, although it sounds like a good idea in theory (and it does, don't get me wrong), I can tell you now that firstly it wouldn't work, secondly the people who were given the powers would receive ENDLESS complaints/whines and finally, Jamie will receive more whines about OH THEY'RE SO BIAS AND UNFAIR MEIGHT! Screenshots and Fraps are the only things that should be monitoring griefers, aside from GM's/Jamie.

Who says they need to be exposed?:P no1 needs to know their identy , that was ezzo's biggest mistake(no offence) and beside ezzo there wasent another person who cud help us catch the grifers. and no that ezzo gone , who is there? no gms, halibel is busy irl so i dont blame her. and soz but if u screeny wud take a week myabe before person gets banned, fraps wud makes u lagg so u end up losing a item(50 % of losing ) but then what wud happend if the griefer gets catchted and banned? then i wud have to get my item bk?` then it will lead to another problem of "corruption" . the Grief Police dont need to expose their Identity !:P ehhe

I don't know what players are like on HR, personally I wouldn't trust anyone on Evo with GM abilities, but then I'm impossibily difficult with handing out trust with things that can cause a lot of potential trouble - Jamie went to bed less than 3 hours ago, so you've got quite a wait ahead until he replies, just so you know.

jamie deseveres to sleep hes done alot of good work, pro if u went bk to when server was wiped, like 3-4 months after wiped u wud see alot of diffrence btw the gaming expericne than now , even tho it was small the game was great, all those who played since whip or before knows that the grief problem was lower then. and im going to dare out and say, and please this is only from my point of view , i do not hate arabic people or any other poeple since im half arab my self . but alot of the grifers is foreigners, basically from a non english country . lots of people that has griefed me and is griefing is foreingers. which bugs me. cause they cant play fair . thats from my point of view.

All grief problems get worse over time, unless tightly monitored, as the idiot population slowly grows it's amazingly difficult to keep them out or keep grief low, I'm amazed how long HR has been going for so long and so well tbh, it could be much worse.

The server I used to GM, Massacre, was literally destroyed by 30-40 Egyptian players, they griefed, exploited and were the kind of players you wouldn't want to associate with, a few of them were really nice people though - Look at Ezzo, he's Egyptian and although we are therefore forced to make the odd camel joke, he's bloody quality. Don't judge someone by their background, even if it's generally right, it could lead to you missing out on knowing some really amazing people.

i aint judge by their back ground. i know alot of people from egypt to romania lol . ezzo is quailty cause hes a decent guy , which can understand wot it means to play a english speak game. some poeple dont. i never judge any1 by background , i judge them by their way of speaking, if they act as a moron i dont like them. we'll wait for laptas reply hehe

How about instead of giving powers out to new players the current gms keep an eye out for the greifers.

when they spot a greifer they dont give any warnings, they simply give the IP address a ban.

that way we will end up seeing players complaining about being unjustly banned and we'll find out who the Greifers are behind the noobs


I dont mind logging on for a small amount of time each evening to have a lookie and keep an eye out in front of the book store and banning a few people I havnt banned anyone in a while now i think ineed some practice
