avatar?

everytime i go to upload an avatar pic it says "invalid file". ive made sure the file is no bigger than 100x100 pixels, none even exceeded 40kb, i tried .png, .bmp, .jpg and all give me the same message. any ideas?

the custom avatar option was removed a while back if you remember because certain people were putting avatars not suitable for general viewing.so lapta made it so you had to run them past him 1st if you wanted your own.
