Sorry, but after reading through these forums, there seems to be a lot of bugs..

Im guessing this server is live but i dont understand why, when people are changing spells there going from underpowered to ridiculous.

Do you not know how to balance?

Also the auto patcher, seriously fix it because its f**ed beyond belief lol.

Right also did this even go through beta, because from all of these bugg reports im guessing u just thought "ah what the hell lets host it" hopeing people would turn around and love you for it. Yes i'm guessing GM's are working there ass's off but surely mark this as BETA.

A) You've put links on the destinyao forum that doesn't even work. it's quite shocking, and easy to install? Running the autopatcher 10-20 times even thou it messes up the mir ini file. is not easy installation.

Look into bugs, and don't announce it as live or else there will be a lot more complaints about bugs, because this really wasn't thought through.

i'm new, and im not whining exactly im just in absolute curiousity hence the apology after if some of the facts were not right.

all i see on this forums is buggs being mentioned, and i really can't understand it if the server has been up 8 months. did it recently upgrade to 2.3? if so they may explain certain bits.

im not asking for flames im just pointing something out.

Good points made, but once you have been around the server a bit longer you will notice that i am a very active GM/admin - and all bugs at you see on forums are normally fixed very quicky. and any tweaks made to spells are either due to changes when server is updated or cus the spell needs looking at again.

Well all the bugs are just lil ones and lapta doing great job don't just come here and strike the server just go away :P and we are happy its the best server around

most of the bug on the forums are bugs due to the last update, So i dont see how we could get round those bugs unless we start another server and have it purely as a test server, but that woudl mean updates take longer to come out and so forth.

So to the point that all you see is Bug reports (try looking in the general chat section ;-))

In relation to your beta reference, Yes this server skipped the beta stage and had its first real wipe nearly a week ago, so imo that kinda was the first open beta for me.

the reason it skipped its beta stages was because in its infant stages, it had better features than all the other servers out there and with that we managed to take the crown for the Highest user count for any mir2 private server (lapta could give you the exact number probably before i go and research it) (found it (Peak players ever 214 (27th May 2007) )

(now this is another reason why i personally think that lapta dived off the deep end and launch the server unbeta'd (if thats even a word!) and i believe that was because he believed he could beat Ragezone and he managed it a treat, i think it was best illistrated when RZ members started showing up here and one day we had over 150 people online, i logged on to RZ and they had 1 person online. (Me ) - That made me smile )

Anywho


have a play of the server before you give it a bashing and then decide, Some people dont like it, Some people would defend it with their lives.

But at the end of the day its all about having fun, so have a play then come to forums and let us know how to make it more fun (thats another thing, lots of things on the forums look like bugs but more often than not its users trying to get features changed and just claiming them to be bugs )
