Please help!! paying 5 mil gold to any one who can fix

Hi, this problem is driving me crazy. Ive had mir revenge on my pc and was working fine untill i formated it. now when i install mir and run auto patch etc it wont work. the problem i get is loads of boxes pop on the screen saying violation error code "blah blah" and the boxes keep appearing till i end task. lapta says its coz no sound card is installed but there was none in before that when it was running fine. also ive stuck a sound card in and installed the drivers etc and still no joy. i am connected to the net etc and there is nothing more to do.. it has happend b4 with this pc but i just installed service pack 2 and it worked fine. done the same this time but it wont work! re-installed mir many times etc but no joy. if any way knows the actual problem and can get it working then i will pay them 5 mil mir gold as a thank you. hope you lot can help. thx

Its the sound card drivers you need. I know thats the case cause I had exactly the same problem.

Have you still got your disc that came with the mother board?

hi m8 thx for ur reply. thing is i didnt install the driver for it that last time mir worked coz i dont have it, nd since formatting it its just not working all. what if i try taking the sound card out??

But surely the sound driver would have been installed beforehand?

Try finding out what sound card you have, then going to the manufactures webby (find on google) and download the newest sound drivers for your card, I am sure it will work then.

What firewall are you running? It sounds to me like you are blocking the mir.exe from sending packets. I get the exact same error if I click deny when zone alarm asks me if I want to play mir or not.
Open your firewall, make sure you tick mir to allow data accross the internet/network and open your ports.

you do real;ise that most of your drivers you cant install till after youve installed service pack 2.so that might be your problem

hi kev m8 i had the same probelm wen i installed windows server pack 2 it didnt have the sound driver thats wat u need m8.. but dont ask me how to get it lol i just installed windows server pack 1 back in lol

Hi peeps, thanks loads for all ya help. in the end i just kicked the pc and then formatted it again lol. works now sum how

lol after the formatting did it do any automatic updates?

it would be usefulto try and work out what the actually fix was this time, i knwo i nthe past its been down to graphic drivers as mentioned. it would be nice to know ^^
