If you dont have a copy of XP you can always download an .iso version,
illegally like..

(just make sure you know what you're doing with torrents)

Same, this problem im sure will cause alot of vista users to leave temporarily or hopefully get it replaced.. Im just going to wait atm if it gets too much for even me to handle ill have to consider some things =/

But oh well, i made it to 37 on tao so far with lag, lets see how far this baby can go.

instead of relying on the 3 links i gave out for other similar problems, Why not look for solutions yourself.


this isnt a solely Mir related problem it covers loads of other games as well, which you might of noiced in the links i gave out.

check out "lag on vista" as your initial search string in google and see what you find.

it annoys me how lazy the mir users are getting, if you had checked what vista was like before actually buying it you might not be in this position, if you did check and the sales staff told you it will be fine, then you should be able to get a full refund as the product doesnt do what it says it should.

you should be able to get XP and change if you can swap your current Vista copy.

if you want to give up on the situation you might need to give up on gaming altogether like one of the guys in the links i posted.


also if you take elminsters idea, make sure you dont run auto updates, otherwise you'll get the 30 day activation/genuine copy pop up and after 30 days say bb

I am most deffinatly going to get XP, no doubt about it but atm my vista isnt as bad as every1 elses, perhaps because its literally brand new.

I dont know, but all i do know is that its not helping, however bad it is.
Shouldnt take long to get XP ...but then again, after this autopatcher is done i could be sorted lol.
