Is cheat in a trade bannable?

Today before I was about to log off a female taoist called 'Chiristie' pm'd me and said shes going to trade a mirboot for my mc+4 evilzumachain and heavenboots. I thought its an awesome offer who would reject it tbh. As I was running out of time I ran into inn put my stuff in the tradebox directly, as soon as she put the mirboot in she pressed trade, so did I.
What I found out that was not a Mirboot, after I asked 1 of my ingame friends I got to know its called levelingboots and it had the same layout as Mirboots, which I never knew about.
Well, let me ask 1 question, does cheat on player in a trade counted as cheat as well? and is it bannable? Maybe some of you might think I deserve it because I tried to take advantage of others out of this trade but i was fooled afterall. tbh I only took it as a deal, even now i'd live with it if staff couldnt help me get my things back. Im writing this post here doesnt mean i lost something ingame then came on forum to moan, no im not , i wouldnt do it even i lost all my items due to pk or other issue, but i think if this cheat scum can get away from any punishment for doing this,then it becomes unfair. ill leave the question to others and staffs. If she doesnt get banned does that mean i could carry on what she did to me to fool some new comers?... no, I wouldnt do it in anyways as its lowest thing to do even in a game.

u sure it wasnt christie,i know ur not english so im assuming a spelling error??..this has happened b4 i believe.and tbh if its the same skin as mir boots i thinks its underhand to say the least.tbh i think the renaming npc should be removed whilst theres items ingame with the skins fked up as they are atm.

its a bithc and its happened to me before, theres nothing that can be done by a gm as this was a con rather than a cheat.

shout your arse off let everyone know the character is a con-artist/theif and generally make their game not so fun untill they give the item back.

get a guild to hunt her for a little that migh help, tell her first though that your going to get help etc and request the return first. if she says no beat her down.

would have thought it was obvious exploiting if the item name hade been changed?
