The exp rate was recently altered by Lapta in order to extend the lifetime of the server.
The current mir software we used has an exp cap of 400,000,000 per level. After level 66 every level following had this cap and it made it very easy to level to 100+.
To fix this bug Lapta halved the exp required to level for every level and halved the exp each mob gave per kill. This means you kill the exact same number of mobs as before however he was able to make the levels 66-100 exponentially harder to slow down the hardcore levelers.
People have been confused because last night the exp per mob changed again, this is because when the above changes were made there was a 2x exp event running, therefore when the exp required to level was halved and the exp per mob halved we would have still been at 2x exp. (Regular exp, half the exp required to level).
Mobs are now giving half the exp as they did in December and leveling requires half as much exp as in December. Thus the exp rates are normal and the bug fixed.
Stop complaining about the exp being lowered, the exp hasn't changed.
No idea why this thread was deleted, there's alot of people still under the impression the exp rate has been lowered and I'm just clearing it up for them. If anything this should be made a sticky.
