I just wanted to comment about the tao class. I know this has been done several times on this forum so far but i wanted to share my views with you.
As i see things, on this forum there seems to be issues raised with the strength of the tao class. some people feel they are to strong and others have the opposing view. I feel this mainly results from your perspective, i.e are you being pk'd / pvp'd by a tao or are you playing as a tao and trying to grind the exp for the next lvl or trying to be competetive on the lvl rankings for the server.
One of opinions that caught my interest was on a previous thread when a forum user said taos are a support class they are not meant to own , they were arguing for poison to be reverted to a spell that stopped regen and not an offensive spell. they also felt taoist pets were too strong.....no-1 overall agreeemnt was reached but this is mainly due to the perspective you look at.. as a tao myself i dont want to disadvantage myself when it comes to leveling as i dont get to play much anymore but i prefer the taoist spells to other classes so i always end up playing tao..
The tao as a support class new spells/spell mods
*Buff mc+dc (as a support class you should be able to buff all attack classes)
*Not my idea but still a good 1 covert puri to Mass Puri
*Buff Agility+MR
lvl0 = +1
lvl1 = +2
lvl2 = +3
lvl3 = +5
* posion cloud(grey+yellow poison)not sure if this has been implemented on this server or exsists elswhere, but being able to use red poison with poison cloud would be more beneficial to a tao supporting any other class as it would assist in group leveling (a taos inability to speed up leveling in a group may result in them having to solo hunt thus wanting the taoist class to stray form supportive to offensive requirments)
* Taoist repair skill when a taoist activates/cast this skill they summons a repair NPC which can reapair all items and includes special repair for weapons only. Whilst summoned the taoists Hp+Mp are heavily drained. the spell is cast again to destroy the Npc and stop hp/mp drain.
*Taoist Improved resilience when this is cast on a player, that players buffs are extended for a a set perios of time. this spells works with protection field, rage and magic shield.
i would williingly trade off:
* adv soulfireball
* reduce the damage of soulfireball
* make poison the same strength as euro
* make tao pets the same as euro
If the tao is meant to be a support class, let it own at support and not at leveling. at least people know where they stand when they choose to play this class
