Been really busy working on "mir 4"...
wat is mir 4 you ask.
Well...
Mir 4 is mir 2, with whole new server files and cleint, writen from fresh, so no crappy bugs that cant be fixed later on.
At the moment i am just having loong boring meetings and doing a lot of boring writing.
But once ever thing is up and running, as in the company start the programming it will all be worth it.
and yes you will all get a say in wat is added removed etc, just let me get the bog standard stuff done 1st before we all start jumping ahead of are selfs.
Wat we are aiming for at the moment is pretty much mir 1.4, just running around and hitting thing with a few pretty spells.
But...
All the maps are going to be redone, to look much nicer, running water, weather, night to day, not just light then dark, moving trees, you get the point, and so are all the moment files etc. All in a totally differant format, but looking the same on your screen, prob look a million times nicer tbh. We are not going to try and make mir somthing it's not, by adding 3d crap and the like. All the maps will have the same lay out, BW will be BW the mines will be the mines etc, so it wont be like when mir 3 started up, everything changing and no one having a clue wat is going on.
The main point of doing this is
1. to get the server files to pretty much the same state there are now, with all the stuff TheDeath has added.
2. to fix all the crappy bugs that have been in mir for years.
3. to fix all the major bugs that i cant fix due to not having the sorce code.
4. to be able to update mir how "we" want to without having to beg someone to add the smallest little thing.
The new files wont make mir something it's not. We will do are best to keep every thing the same as it is now, just much better.
Any way will make a whole section on this, so u can talk to the programmers and not me, as i will be busy sort out Mir Revenge :P
