Windows Vista

Hi there,

Yeah, I know there are made alot of topics about Vista, but none of them are working... So don't flame me for a new topic about Vista! And I spoke Jamie on msn and he said to me to post it in this section... So don't lock it down please!

I read all the topics I could find when searching for Vista, but as said, none of them are working... But I do read that alot of ppl are playing with Vista. So can please someone who is playing with Vista tell us -step by step- how he or she has done that!!!

I tried to download it from another mirror and from the forums, none of them worked...
I tried to run it with the Windows XP SP2 compability, doesn't worked either...
I tried to run it as Administratort, also didn't work...
So what else can I try?!

Please, only react if you know how to do it... If you wanna flame some1, do it somewhere else please!!!

I had MR working on My Windows Vista but maybe because I tampered with it before because I had to figure out how to get my mother's conputer working so she could play Age Of Mythology with the titans expansion. But I don't remember what I done.


HOWEVER, there are some people that were using VISTA around that time that used my files to update their MR and it WORKED for them, I think Astrix, Akthug, T1nkerbell used my files and it works for them. So maybe if they can post on here. or SOMEONE LET THEM KNOW PLEASE??? (I'm at work atm so can't log in to ask them)

have you tried run as administrator - i on Vista n have to run as administrator, downloaded as per instructions on in download thou did take me while to download

I know sometimes it's hard to read a whole topic, but in the beginning I said this:

Dave, I never actually managed to get MR workin on my vista pc. I used your files however to fix my MR in xp.

just out of interest what actually happens when you try to run it? I get a white box top left quarter of screen as if its tryin to open, just like when you open 2 mr programs by mistake. not sure if this is due to usin a dual core processor?

I had a problem like dis on anuva server
i got 1 of my m8s to put it on a cd for me and it worked fine.

just started from scratch on my vista pc. downloaded the full client, installed as an admin then ran it as an admin, had no problems with it at all, i know you say you've tried it but uninstall mr all together and redownload using a different mirror (i used 6) completely reinstall the entire game as an admin then try running it again

Copied the mir revenge directory from my XP machine, works perfectly.
