What is abuse?

Abuse is when you send offencive messages to another player with the intenion of causing them upset.

There is a fine line between abuse and joking around with a friend.

If someone i know in game or IRL was to call me a c u n t, i wouldn't personly find it offencive, but if i was to call a police man a c un t, i am pretty sure he would.

Some people find the word nigger offencive, where as others don't.

Generally speaking, if you just stay away from anything that could be classed as offenvice then you have no worries of getting in to trouble.

If you are reported for abuse, and i find it abusive then you will get a 3 day ban, without warning.

Abuse is generally low in game now adays, but just in case people think that we are not doing anything about abuse, there is now a 3 strike system.

1st ban = 3 days.
After you are unbanned, you are on a 7 day probation period, if you are reported for abuse again with these 7 days, you will get 5 day ban.
After you are unbanned from your 5 day ban, you are then on a 14 probation period, if you are reported for abuse within these 14 day, you will get a 7 day ban and lose 10 levels.
After your 7 day ban you are then on a 30 day probation period, any abuse within these 30 days and your account will be prem banned.

As these are new rules they will not come in to effect until 1st November 2010.

Seems only fair can i ask after youve gone through the probation period and then you cause abuse does the 3day ban occur again or do you go straight to 5 day ban ?

5 day ban will only be given if u are in the probation period.

i would say that after each case of a ban you then start again after probation at the next lvl.

ie if you are on a 1st ban and get thru probation, then the next case of abuse puts you str8 into a 5 day ban with 7 probation etc etc

should also be "judged" if it's getting close to a perm ban tho bud, cos i know some ppl go out of their way to wind others up - especially those bloody foreigners :P (lol j/k) - but seriously if someone is that close to perm ban then you would have to consider who the accuser is and circumstances. if it turns out to always be the same accuser then ban them for being a sensitive gay (lol j/k) - but seriously if the same accuser all the time then mbe gm watch that char for a period to see if such offensive behaviour is being "incited" by the accuser etc etc

just a fairer more impartial viewpoint to throw at you

abuse is so little now adays, but due to recent events i thought it would be a good idea to make it clear about abuse, and its very rare that someone who has been banned for abuse will do it again within such a short time frame.
