just a quick 1 b4 i set off home. i was wondering if any1 can shine a light on y mir does not load 4 me in virtualbox,

the install went great, i guess, but when i load the .exe i get a black screen with the "diamond" logo at top, then conn closed after a min or so..

plz help so i can play at home then whilst the comp is in use by family which has become frequent... shouldnt have built a new pc lol...

hi nick! i ran the auto patcher once and it seemed fine but when i went to try again it failed to connect to the server....
so long since i played i feel like a noob again...
im thinking it might b a graphics driver error + others, ill run driver genius 2mora c if it helps

( was easier to reply as my boss wanted to leave early, im his driver

directx installed, drivers sorted, its still black screen, i think even tho exe is on exemption list in avg and win firewall, it still has a port issue, a problem i dont have at home, just need to open a port within hub settings, when i get into it eventually

192.168.0.1 doesnt work... being a gay work hub...
any help sorting this out would b a great help, thx for ur suggestions so far..

shouldn't be your hub, mine is stupidly secure and won't even allow me to open a port. My guess is if your making it to the black screen and getting connection closed its a secondary firewall, which anti virus program are you using. Also have you tried connecting to the internet to browse a web page on your virtual box if that doesn't work then you need to play around with the network settings in virtual box which you cannot do while it is running. so modify it then turn it on and try if you want i could maybe send you a screenshot of how mine is set up.

make sure network adapter is enabled ( in virtual box settings under network

i have mine set to bridged adapter ( not sure if its right but it works )

and the name field says Ethernet , not sure if you need to set it differently for wireless but most likely.

hey thx for ur input on this, i have avg on host and vb, but the .exe added to excemption list on both. ive istalled chrome on vb and it works wth no issues.. ill have a look at the vb settings now

this killed my internet connection.. works on NAT for me not bridged, guess thats to do with me being wireless...

can some1 send me the ip address plz, so i can try that...

ill try it at home later.. when i try mir replay on the VB the update window pops up but i cant type user & password...
