I know, when I found out I was pissed off, my g/f went mental though, we're both BIG fans of FF, but she especially loved FF7... I swear she'd of made me pay £1k for a PS3 if they cost that, just to play FF7 remade (and tbh, I probably would, I really did love the game, the graphics and lack of voices do my head in everytime I replay it though, FF10+ has spoilt me!).
Meh, I have a fair bit of free time over the next few days, will get around to it.
Maybe they're taking more of a WoW approach to Paladins, ie they're not that great on their own, but give awesome buffs to players (they kinda did on D2, but not like they do on WoW, D2 was only aura's if I remember correctly? WoW has both aura's and buffs), then giving them the melee abilities of Assassins maybe?
**** knows, sounds very odd indeed, considering a Paladin has always been a tank like character that isn't intended to do that much damage, but isn't intended to take much either. Assassins however have always been the opposite, quick, agile, weakly geared but hit like a truck (not sure if you know many WoW terms, but they were often known on WoW as glass cannons, for obvious reasons).
Yeah I saw WitchDoctors on a trailer AGES ago, they look ****ing awesome! Creating pets with rabies, WIN! They've clearly taken a lot of Necro abilities though, seems like they've basically renamed Necro's and updated them. :s I always did love my Necro though, even though I didn't play D2 much, hopefully the class hasn't changed TOO much.
Any word on whether it will be the same as D2 (buy game, play) or if it'll be P2P? Either way when it's out it'll only be a now and then thing for me, so hopefully it won't be P2P.
My g/f would know more about it than I would, when D2 and it's later versions were out I was on Euro Mir, a private Mir server or WoW... Played D2 a year or so ago and loved it, just had too short a life span to keep me entertained, after having played WoW to death I'm used to a much longer list of things to do. :P
