Was watching discovery channel yesterday about amazing engineering or something,
Saw this one plan where they were looking at building a train tunnel from america, across the atlantic and onto gb, and onward to france,
The plan itself involved giant tunnel lines and also a train that didnt run on a track ( electromagnetism to reduce track friction to 0 ) and so the train could then be capable of travelling speeds equal or faster than the speed of a bullet,
This meant the journey of new york to Great Britain would take around 55 minutes, ( think it took 4 hours on a supersonic concord ),
Why have i ranted on about this?? My question is......
If one of the tunnel section was to break due to the moving of earth plates, could the train out-run the flooding? =S
I mean i dont think i've ever heard anyone talk about the speed of water unless its in a controlled system with pressure to move it at the required speed,
random i know but thought i would put some life back into this forum lol
