Yeah...right, the best solution is to try really hard to remember the password.
You wouldn't be asking if that easy though. Fact is you want to get into a PC without the password.
    This is easily done.
Either: Brute force attack it with a random password gen'. This will not work.
Or: Install Linux (I'd reccomend DSL) to a USB stick or CD, whatever... then use it to edit the registry for windows. This will only work if you know your way around Linux.

Frankly, I'd just format the damned thing.

Tell your friend you're after a file called 'sam', usually found in \windows\system32\config.
You can find brute force cracking tools all over the interwebz, but be careful what you download. I really wouldn't advise it as a viable option, but feel free to try.

    Edit: Moved to off topic.

I've got a disk that allows you to reset any password on a windows computer but im unsure of how well it works on vista as I have onlyused it on XP.

The files are tiny so if you want it pm me your msn addy, ill add you, send you the files and talk you though what to do.

I assume you have another computer that can burn a disc as you will need to do that in order to get it to your other computer.
